Subject: Update on LRM Revisions

I would like to report that I received my copy of IEEE Std 1076, 2000
Edition last week. (This is the version that incorporates the 1076a, Shared
Variables work.) Although we suggested it wasn't worth the time and effort
to publish this edition as 1076-2000 was coming out shortly, they published
it anyway.
I have sent off to the IEEE updated copies of 1076-2000/D5 for distribution
with the ballot re-circulation. "Hey," you ask, "didn't you already do
that?" Well, yes. But the editorial review found a couple of things that
they wanted changed so Paul did so and I finally got time to print them out
this week and send them to the IEEE.
How long will it take the IEEE to send out the re-circ ballot? Your guess
is as good as mine. However, when I receive mine or hear any information
from the IEEE, I will let you know.
